I have installed The Anglers Database on Windows 2000 and I am experiencing problems with the system?
The Anglers Database was developed to run on Windows Operating Systems for the home user, such as Windows 98™, ME and XP. Windows 2000 is associated with commercial applications and servers. It allows the user to configure the installed operating system in ways that wouldn't be possible in ME or XP which in turn can cause problems when either installing The Anglers Database or running it.
One issue we have found is that some versions of Windows 2000 require a component called MDAC 2.6. This comes with Windows ME and XP but is occasionally missing from Windows 2000.
If you are a Windows 2000 user then please go to the Microsoft Website and install MDAC 2.6 before installing The Anglers Database. Importantly, install a trail version of The Anglers Database and try running it. If you experience any problems then please Email us at AskTheExpert@AnglersDatabase.com with an explanation of the issue. We will do our best to assist you.

Introduction
|
Section: 1 2 3 4 5 |
- The system adopts an Image based approach.
- Take an Image such as a digital photo or scan of
a Water.
- Enter it on the System and then Mark with an Icon
the Swims and Fishing Marks.
- Add information about the Swims and Fishing Marks
and then record your Sessions, Captures/Runs and Catches.
All by Right-Clicking on the Icons.
- It’s easy and it’s intuitive to do.
- You can add more than one Image for a Water and
place your Swim Icons and Fishing Mark Icons on them.
- Having recorded your angling exploits you can run
Reports to view or print them (or save to a file).
- You can list your angling records and drill-down
to individual Sessions or Captures.
- You can run your own queries to hone-in on your
successes and areas for improvement.
- All this is aimed specifically at the UK coarse
angler, whether specialist or pleasure.
